Correction: Three names were left out of the spoken Memorial Roll Call: Gary Farrar, Gabriel Ronnei, and Phyllis Tindell. They have been added to the service below.
Welcome and Prelude
Please rise in body or spirit.
Thanksgiving for Baptism
P Blessed be the holy Trinity, +
one God, the fountain of living water, the rock who gave us birth, our light and our salvation.
A A reading from the Book of Revelation: Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city. On either side of the river is the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. (Revelation 22:1-2)
P Joined to Christ in the waters of baptism, we are clothed with God's mercy and forgiveness. Let us give thanks for the gift of baptism.
P Blessed are You, holy God. You are the creator of the waters of the earth. You are the everlasting wellspring. You gather Your people from sea to sea. You quench our thirst, and You comfort all who weep. Your Son stands among us, Shepherd and Lamb, to lead all the saints through death to life. Pour out Your Holy Spirit. May this water be a sign of the end of all tears; for we stand under the name above every name, Jesus Your Son, who lives with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

P Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; (1 John 3:2a)
C BUT WE KNOW THAT WHEN HE APPEARS WE SHALL BE LIKE HIM, BECAUSE WE SHALL SEE HIM AS HE IS. (1 John 3:2b)
P I am the Resurrection and the Life; those who believe in Me, even though they die, will live. (John 11:25)
C AND EVERYONE WHO LIVES AND BELIEVES IN ME WILL NEVER DIE. (John 11:26)
P The Lord be with you
C AND ALSO WITH YOU.
P Let us pray. Almighty God, You have knit Your people together in one communion in the mystical body of Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Grant us grace to follow Your blessed saints in lives of faith and commitment, and to know the inexpressible joys You have prepared for those who love You, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
Greeting and Prayer of the Day
P The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
C AND ALSO WITH YOU.
P Let us pray.
A brief silence is kept before the prayer.
God of compassion, by the power of God, Elijah provided bread and oil for the widow and her household. By faith in God, the widow provided food and water for Elijah. Give us hearts to love one another, so that in providing and in receiving, we too, might experience the unimaginable power of God, through the one who has provided life itself, Your Son, Jesus Christ.
Please be seated.
Preaching Text - 1 Kings 17:1-16
The Word of the Lord/THANKS BE TO GOD.
Silence for reflection follows the sermon.
Prayers of Intercession and Thanksgiving
A With the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, let us pray for the church, those in need, and all of God's creation.
A brief silence.
Lord, in Your mercy/HEAR OUR PRAYER
P Into Your hands, gracious God, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in Your mercy; through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.
Offering the Gifts and Tithes and Prayer
A Let us pray. Merciful God, everything in heaven and on earth belongs to You. We joyfully release what You have entrusted to us. May these gifts be signs of our whole lives returned to You, dedicated to the healing and unity of all creation, through Jesus Christ.
P The Lord be with you.
C AND ALSO WITH YOU.
P Lift up your hearts.
C WE LIFT THEM TO THE LORD.
P Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
C IT IS RIGHT TO GIVE OUR THANKS AND PRAISE
P You are indeed holy, gracious, and merciful God; everything is filled with Your glory. We give You thanks for Your promise and presence which have sustained the faithful in this and every generation. Above all, we give You thanks for Jesus, born of Mary, who in word and deed announced Your gentle rule of justice, reconciliation, and peace.
In the night in which He was betrayed,
our Lord Jesus took bread, and gave thanks;
broke it, and gave it to His disciples, saying:
Take and eat; this is My body, given for you.
Do this for the remembrance of Me.
P Send now, we pray, Your Holy Spirit, that all of Your promises may come to us and Your whole creation.
P This we pray through Jesus Christ, our Savior and our friend.
Special Music - Lord’s Prayer
P The table of life is spread before you. Feast on the goodness and mercy of God.
Distribution of Bread
P May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the gifts of His body and blood strengthen, keep, and unite us, now and forever.
A Let us pray. Most gracious and generous God You open your hand and feed those who hunger. Grant us faith to trust Your wise providing, courage to share our bread, and grace to pour out our lives in service to others as Christ poured out Himself to us.
P Almighty God, Father, +
Son, and Holy Spirit, bless you now and forever.
Please be seated.
A Go in peace. Christ is with you.
C Thanks be to God.
